Thank you. I wait patiently for flowers. I have a Mayhaw specimen I collected in the 2000-2002 timeframe that I ended up planting in my yard. It waited about 10 years before blooming (again - it's an old tree). So I'm hopeful that I get some flowering in the next few years.Nice work! Any flowers or berries on these?
In certain spots they're fairly numerous. The larger specimens are harder to come by; at least that's been my experience in my normal collecting areas.Gorgeous tree! Are these prevalent in your area?
Thank you, Dan. Great vigor in this species, and they're very hardy - this one survived our ice storm and 15F freezes back in 2014. Just need to see some blooms.Really inspirational Zach. The one I got from you is doing well up here in VA.
Mine seem to grow like weeds. Not elm speed but way faster than hornbeam.they take their own sweet time... Hope you get blooms, mine never has yet.
Looks great with the potHow about some fall color? This is the best show I've gotten from this tree since I started working on it back in 2012.
