Hopefully this is the beginning of a good progression.

I bought one for 2 bucks last year. Maybe out of 9 Seeds I'll get one to sprout this time.

One in here.20150624_061244.jpg

I'll put the rest elsewhere.
Since this method Sucks! Lol

Good news. I have 2 extra Robert Redwood trading cards, so if anyone is willing to trade, I'll take a finished tree!

I have several "finished" trees sitting under the bench right now. You're more than welcome to them and I don't even need a card in trade.

Good luck with Robert Redwood.

No. I was thinking about stratifying some. But I havent looked it up.

According to Dirr in "The Reference Manual of Woody Plant Propagation", they are notoriously low in production of
sound seed but those that are need not pretreatment to germinate. "In nursery practice the seed is spring sown when
the soil is warm and frost is unlikely."
A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they shall never sit in

"Redwood Ryan" comes from me growing Redwood from seed a lot when I was younger. Here's how I germinated Sequoia seeds:

1. Take coffee filter
2. Wet it
3. Place seeds on coffee filter
4. Fold coffee filter so it covers the seeds
5. Place in plastic bag
6. Place bag I'm fridge

I forget how long I stratified them for, but it was crucial that I did that so that I had some germination success.

Is this your work? It lacks taper. Nice movement, but very few branches. I'd chop it just below the first set of leaves to get some taper established.
