You don't have to follow my advice but I tried to dig some of my seedlings up carefully and then plant them in bigger pots, so far no problems. They are pretty tough.
Maybe I'll try to repot the one that's doing OK out of the three and see if it survives before risking the two that are doing better.

What size pot did you end up repotting to?

Here's an update on the remaining pines. Lost the one that wasn't doing too well but luckily the other two are going strong. I ended up not repotting them yet, since I only have two I'm going to wait for a safer time to do it.

The one on the right is developing better. It has a nice cluster of buds at the very top which I originally thought were setting for next year but they started extending a couple of days ago.

That one also has a branch growing from the lowest needle there was. Is there such a thing as it being too low? :eek: There's another coming right above it it looks like.

The other one just has kind of one big bud setting for next spring.

It looks like it also has a smaller branch coming pretty low on the trunk.
