Here is one of my favorite natural root over rock trees I have come across. This is a western red cedar grasping a large boulder. The boulder is approximately 10’ tall.
Another picture with my hat in it for scale. The tree is a double trunk. Each trunk is about 4’ DBH. The major roots are more than a foot thick. They grow em big here.
