Is it a good idea to use rooting gels or creams on air layers?

Yeah you kind of have an effect of coarse sandpaper on the skin followed by an alcohol bath. Why dont you quit being such a dick and stop asking people to do all your work? You remind me of a jerk I work with who wants everyone else to do his job. I thought you were coming around for a while.

I would say yes.I used it on my layers this season and they grew.Then again you may end up wiping it all off while putting the sphagnum around the tree trunk in the beginning,which I did,and wonder if it did any good.I am going to use pond baskets wrapped around the layers I make next year with orchid sphagnum and aggregate.I will probably just put a loose ziplock around that and water with b1.I will use the gel again though.
