That’s such a bummer. Ugh. Hopefully they’ll make it ... at least tridents are pretty tough!

Hope so! I should point out there’s no bark on the wood below the soil line, it’s all dead - I re cut the “chewed high tide line” and applied rooting hormone.

That's horrible...:(

If that was mine, I'd also rig up some sort of humidity tent and keep it out of strong direct light until you see some new growth.

Yup they are both in a shady greenhouse, seriously humid!

The white one I assume is a vine weevil chrysalis/pupae, the other one is like an underground caterpillar with big teeth...
