I was trying an aeroponic cloner with one cutting of Hawthorne and it started to callous at 9 days,so I made 24 cuttings my tried and true method with humidity dome,Jiffy Pellets and Hormex Rooting Harmone directly on the stem.
I bought this tree from Forest Farm last year, whom I highly recommend by the way.
I planted in the yard last year and it is growing vigorously.Crataegus x Media....no wonder:D
I want to propagate these every year hopefully with good success.
Here is the tree in the yard (center of the photo) from a couple weeks ago and the cuttings from today.

Nice, simple but effective was to root cuttings. I know Brent Walston propagates Hawthorne from cuttings. So it certainly can be done. I don't know how specialized his set up is or if any high tech is needed.
