Ryan Neil and Sierra Juniper

I collected this sierra juniper in the fall of 2005 and repotted it into this trainning pot in 2008. It has been for sale, and I even took it to the GSBF convention last fall where I was vending. Since it hasn't sold, I had Ryan Neil style it this last week. He started at 9:00 in the morning and finished it at 8:00 in the evening. The dead area around the base took longer to carve out than he had planned. It still needs wood hardner and lime sulpher applied to it. The tree is no longer for sale

Excellent tree. Ryan did very well with it. Now you just have to move it out of the driveway :D Good luck!

A big juniper that Ryan did at the ABS/BCI symposium sold at auction for over $4k. It was, in my opinion, not as nice as this one. Good going Bob!

So how much did it not sell for? I'm wondering if people here recognize the tree and what they could have had...

The transformation is amazing!

Bob,

That guy is pretty amazing, do you mind if I ask what he charges to come out for a day? I'm thinking that if you just sit and watch him work it's worth the price of admission.

Boy he sure got a lot done before he had to skip. Did you tie him down or nail a foot to the floor ?

Man, that is quite a transformation, Ryan's work is always so impressive. I'm so sad I could not attend. I got John's message, but I was in Seattle for the week.

sierra juniper

Since no one really showed any interest, I hadn't really thought of a price prior to Ryan working on it. As I said before, the dead wood took longer than he had planned, but he was determined to finish it, which I really appreciated.
It would be best if you contacted Ryan directly about his fees

No problem, I'll do that.

Awesome tree. I'd just like to point out that Ryan started with some awesome material (that you collected). It never hurts.....:) Beautiful finished product though.

Thanks for sharing Bob, that is a fine addition to an already impressive collection. Ryan's work is outstanding and it's always a treat to get to see some shots like this!
