Seedling
after 5 tries with cuttings from a neighbors pink Bou-V, it finally started new growth.
WHEW !
just when I thought all hope was lost and time to take a couple more cuttings, i yanked the stem out of the soil before I looked and I went into shock mode. it have 7 new leaves on it and I just killed it (so I think) that was 3 days ago and it still lives w/no wilting or leaf loss. (so far)
I took "new growth" green stems the week before that and have been nursing them and they seem to be happy just doing nothing but being green. but I'm really counting on the stem I accidentally yanked out to "be the one" to start a new bonsai for the 1st time.
so.. * hoping and Praying* for it not to die...
I chose the BouganV for it's vibrant colored blooms. I have a large round tray & I'd like to start with 3 colors all together for some clumping plants. that's my plan.
the one in front isn't doing anything and I planted it at the same time. we'll see...
