Why are they inside? Sage survive in Montana where it can stay in the negative digits for weeks... ?

Wanted to see if they will make it indoors. From what I’ve found they can do just fine. Sure it can live outside. I’m looking for something that works for inside. I’ll try like this if not I know they are fine outside. It gets -20 here and they donjust fine.
