My favourite is that last pine, it really looks like the old whitebarks I see in the mountains here. I think that kind of naturalistic upright form is becoming my most preferred type of conifer image.
So glad you said that. I agree whole heartedly. In someone else's hands it would be wired to within an inch of it's life! Mind you, the first bunjin white is something. So much depth to that tree and one of the best literati I've seen

Wonderful trees, too bad the ume wasn't blooming yet. Post #3, 3rd tree, the stark white one, what is that please? Thanks for these pics, So jealous.:oops: But so nice that you share the experience with us. Also nicely done photos!

What about the 4th post, tree 2 and 4 (although I think tree 4 is a Trident)?

thats an ume and korean hornbeam, not a trident.
there was another ume for sale which was sold so i dont know the price but i thought was pretty cool, this one

@wireme , @MichaelS , that was also one of my favourite ones, it looked still much better in reality then on the picture.
