This is one of my San Jose, it has been potted now for about 4 months. Since it has shown new growth and with winter here, I figure it's time to wire it. I am looking for ideas on styling it. The trunk is almost 3/4" thick.

Sorry can't upload picture

Hello majohnson.. I wish I could see a pic of the tree...Also, you can wire now, but trees grow very little in Winter. So any wiring you do now, will probably not amount to much change..even if left on through the winter. Also, depending on how strong that the tree is secured in the pot, it might be best to wait until spring. 4 months is still kind of fresh for a newly repotted tree. The roots have probably not grown much at all. Meaning when you are moving the tree around to wire it, you are pulling and uprooting the tree somewhat.

Also, trees are at their most brittle in winter, breaks are much more likely to happen.
