I found this cool San Jose juniper last year at a local nursery and immediately saw a dragon within the tree. It is a tricky tree to style, but I made a deadwood feature where it was splitting into 2 directions and I kinda like it. We'll see where the tree will go in its development, as I don't know it very well yet and will be observing and learning about it's growth. It doesn't seem to want to back bud much, all the growth being directed towards the tips. One branch in particular has a lot of juvenile growth which I'm guessing may pull too much resources to this branch so I'll watch it

I made a pot with a black dragon in the fall and waited patiently for the spring to repot it. When it was time, the juniper hopped in like a butter and seems super happy in the new pot.

Today is the day, got the courage to do the chops. Very happy with the direction for this san jose. 1-2 years and hopefully I'll be able to bring it even closer. Fingers crossed for some buds this spring
