My neighbor has a huge Chinese elm that peppers my yard with a volunteer army every spring. Last spring I shoved a few of them into a nursery can and kept them alive until spring this year.

The goal here is to make a very tiny forest planting. Maybe shohin size or slightly larger. I used this cool little accent pot that @sorce gave me as an extra. We shall see how crazy pruning this forest makes me. Might need a magnifying glass and surgeons scissors.

Nice start. I've got the same project going. It'll be fun watching them develop. These also root extremely easily from cuttings. I hope to strike a few each year and maybe expand my tiny forest. Good luck with yours!
