12 dollar 3 gal junipers, pots are only about 3/4 full of soil so I didn’t have to do much underneath but a simple trim of the surface roots. I’ll probably spend an hour tonight with tiny scissors cleaning up the trunk and start looking at the second one a different day. These will be very easy to pot down when the time comes.

Yeah, they can be itchy! ? I usually wear latex gloves to work on them!

I swore 5 or 6 times about 15 years ago I’d never own a needle juniper again. At least they smell good.

The second has a double trunk. Again only removing surface roots and a rough prune so far. The trees have some new buds that have opened along the trunks and about 11mm long strands of new white feeder roots.
