Hello everyone. I just picked up some satsuki azaleas from the local garden shop. It took some time to find any with single trunks, but eventually found 4 of them. I am going to plant these to get them larger, and am wondering if i should prune the roots to make shorter, since they are in 3 gallon containers, or just plant them and let them go until larger, then start reducing the roots? Most of my trees i pruned and reduced the size of the rootball to put on tiles, but wonder if i should just plant instead of slowing the growth down? Thanks for any advice.
