I got this Satsuki with 2 wilted flowers on it and no others from Brussels since it was on sale.

My guess is that the azalea is post bloom and these are the seed pods but I wanted to confirm.

I am supposed to remove these now, right? Where exactly do I make the cut/pinch to best remove these?

Also, any resources on repotting this into a clay "azalea pot" for growth? Can I do that this time of year?

Thanks!

Correct. Let me see if I can find my link I had on azalea that was bookmarked. It maybe to late to repot by my Satsuki Azalea book.

Sorry page sideways. To get all in photo I had to shoot photo sideways. But also did a closer shot of repotting time.

Here is the book that information came from.

Step 1
Wait for your azalea to bloom. Once the flowers are drooping, it is time to remove them.

Step 2
Take the stem of the azalea flower in your hand. This is the thick part at the base of the flower.

Step 3
Remove dead azalea blooms where the stem meets the rest of the plant. Cut it off with the scissors or snap it off with your fingers. Repeat this step until all the dead azalea blooms are removed from the plant.

Step 4
Place the dead flowers in the bucket for easy clean up.

A couple links I had saved...
