The Wakaebisu is really flowering hard. It still needs a lot of work on shape and style, I will probably shorten it some after it finishes blooming.

Very pretty. Does yours ever bloom a second time? I've heard that this variety can do this...

Judy, it will sometimes throw a random few flowers out, especially in late summer or early fall, but for the most part, it puts on a show in late spring. It is a little later than usual this year due to the cold.

Harunobu, out of all of the azaleas that I have, this one grows the best and is least problematic, other than spider mites like it. I wish all of the rest were as easy.

I think that this is about as far as it goes for this one

I think that this is peak, some of the older flowers are really fading. She will get a drastic make-over next weekend. Shorter and more compact is what I am going for.

Since It Is Finished Blooming

It was time to do some trimming and chopping in hope to enhance the design. I have always thought that this one was too tall, so I cut it back hard. What do you think?
