I think you passed because these "girls" love to be (man)handled by a strong macho man, and you may feel that you are not entirely up to the task. ;)

(I know how it feels to lift such a baby...)

But would'n such a bonsai score big points with those blondes that you are partial to? Just sayin..
It's always nice to have a few trees that others love, just to stimulate some good conversation with them. A social thing, you know.

What is exactly the difference between your climate and the one 100 miles east?

I35 devides the state in half, the west side is the start of the dessert and that's where I live. The east side they call green country, they get more rain than we do.

You or anyone else is welcome to visit me anytime, I will even put you up for the night. But we're not going to talk about azales unless I get drunk. It's conifers or dead silence.

Understood. Nothing wrong with knowing what you want.

I feel it's kind of like the medical profession, you can be a family Dr. and know a little about everything, or you can be a specialists and learn as much about one species as possible.

Yes, it is also something that has to do with each individual personality. Some of us like to get into the deepest detail of things. Others like to study the big picture, and understand how the small pieces are connected to each other.

Would discussing the blondes be ok?:)

Micro climate changes don't take much, there are some towns a half hour away that have some distinct differences from where I live. Can be much colder in winter and typically cooler in the summer, as well as where the hills and mt.s are they can knock the rain right out of the clouds before it can do your trees any good.
