Hey Andy,
That second tree is seriously impressive.
Almost enough to make me want to get into tropicals.

Show us some more!

Great to hear from you again Andy.
Hey, it looks like you got new fence, new benches/tables and new stands!!

That second tree is a beauty and it looks like you've gotten those leaves down pretty small..

Thanks,Jay...you're in Florida and don't do tropicals?....wow

Hey Dale...new job and all have kept me busy.Just now finding a little time for bonsai.
The fence, stands and trees are actually at my workplace. The new owners haven't told me to take them home so I haven't.My yard is a complete disaster...too many trees and haven't had time since "Dolly" to clean it up much.

update and backdate

Thought I'd add an old picture(circa March '04) and a new one after defoliation.

update

Almost 1 month since defoliating and pruning....I have continued to remove any over large leaves and re cutting any branch that I did not get more than one back bud to break. You can see an "indentation" on the top right of the canopy. This resulted from loosing a couple of large branches last summer during hurricane "Dolly".This space had filled in pretty well, but the branched lacked character of any kind.

I just found this thread! Hi Andy, this is the tree that inspired me to do some scheflera bonsai years ago! Thanks for the inspiration!
The loss of a few branches on top of this tree might be a blessing in disguise. I would trim some more of the top (on one side) and aim for a more irregular apex crown/canopy. This would make the tree look even taller I think. Here's a picture of what I mean.
Good day!
Si
