Wow! What a journey it was! Thanks for posting it.

I notice you have many trees on stone slabs.
Is using a stone slab a decision that you make based on the individual tree in question? Or are you moving towards slabs in general?
Maybe a silly question, but I'm curious to hear your answer, sir.

Trees which are styled in a naturalistic manner often look better in a naturalistic container. A slab is a perfect naturalistic container.. More and more folks move that direction.
I love trees on stone! If I didn’t regulate myself, all my trees would be on stone. Was that slab natural or man made?

This grey stuff is baked loam, fine, just for the looks. In the meanwhile it is washed away and moss starts to grow everywhere. No need for top-dressing anymore.

Absolutely stunning tree, and the moss over the slab is what takes this to a whole 'nother level IMO

Trunk has grown. Love low rt branch and big main lft branch. Looks like old Ponderosa🥰.
