Here's a Scots pine yamadori I have bought from a collector, waiting for it's first styling...

About 15 inch high. The nebari measures 4,7 inch on the surface. I love the bend in the trunk, and the old looking bark. A disadvantage is the pretty straigth trunk behind the bend. But I am confident this will become a nice looking tree in the near future..

Regards from Belgium,
Hans

Hi Hans,
Wow.
Any idea where you are wanting this one to go?

Hi Mom,

Here's what I am thinking about it...

I want to jin, or maybe completely remove the two stumps behind the bend. The counterweight branch is almost perfectly placed, and I believe this tree stands or falls with this branch. About the other branches I am not so sure for the moment. Maybe I will remove one or two branches. They seem to start at the same point, and too many branches from the same point is not that credible. I will try to make the crown as compact as possible. Marinko, one of my friends in bonsai made this virtual for me. It will give you an idea on what I am aiming at.

I will post an update after it's first styling.

Regards,
Hans

Hans, that trunk is only straight from one angle! Have you thought of other planting angles for it?

Hans
