I received this tree in the mail root bound and with a lot of wire imbedded in the trunk. I removed the wire and let it acclimate for a week. I repotted in fast draining all purpose bonsai mix and was careful to not remove too much of the roots. After a day or 2 in shade it went to a location with morning sun…which I think in hindsight was too much too soon. It got about 6hrs. I was afraid to underwater reading how they don’t like to get totally dry…but now I think I may be overwatering because of how the leaves are looking now. I am unsure how to proceed. Any help appreciated

Fukien tea are very picky. They take a month or more to fully acclimate to a new environment. My guess is it's stressed out over the new environment and soil.

Keep it in shade with lots of indirect light until it fully recovers. Your soil looks granular so you shouldn't worry too much about overwatering as the excess water should just drain out.
If you want to make sure you only water when necessary, you can stick a wooden chopstick at least an inch into the soil. Check the chopstick everyday and when the chopstick is no longer wet, you know it is time to water
