Well went looking at Mr. Valavannis's log last night,
Ran into two situations.
[1] A cultivar of the Trident maple with leaves apparently the size
of a finger nail. Large Bonsai and thousands / millions of leaves.
Imagine, no having to defoliate, naturally small and abundant.
This is the prize you look for in seeds ore cuttings.
We have a Fustic here with Zelkova capacity, at 12 inches, imagine
if we grow one to 2 feet.
To defoliate and tidy ----------- how many hrs./days ?
[2] Mr. V. goes looking for the Winner of the Kokofu, and it
was in an antique Chinese pot.
He finds the winner,but now in a plain pot.
The antique was more valuable than the Kokofu Champion ?
What does the reader at the blog end up thinking -
[a] The real value is the pot
Pot was rented.
