I bought this bonsai online about 6 months ago. It's my fourth 'serissa' and I've never been very lucky with them, which makes me question whether it is a serissa. Either way, I'm happy it's still alive!

I've tried PlantNet and Google Lens. The latter suggested it could be a serissa.

Would welcome views. Thank you!D058C47C-5957-49A5-96CA-F9F5AF81D96F.jpeg

It looks like a Serissa. They can be temperamental, especially inside.

A few years ago I overwintered one inside, no problem. The next winter it died shortly after coming in, no idea why. I am giving them another go this year and although they have been doing great all summer I am nervous about bringing them in. I remember Grimmy saying he lost many indoors until he let them get a good chill, like down to 35 before bringing them inside.

They are hardier than they get credit for. Our Botanical Gardens has a hedge of them which has survived for years outside in our Zone 8A. In a pot, I’d still probably protect them from much below freezing.
