Here is my 3 Bonsai’s.

The position where they are now is that they will get shade all day, is this position good or do they require more sun. Like morning sun then afternoon shade?

I don’t have a position in the garden where i can achieve both results. Its either shade all day or sun all day.

Left to right: hornbeam, yew and larch.

Full sun, take advantage of the little of it you may get up there.
In the shade they will just go looking for the sun and give you elongated growth amongst other issues.

Yews and hornbeam can tolerate some shade, but the larch will want more sun. Honestly, I'd think in Scotland, it would be difficult to give too much sun to any of them, so I'd give them all as much sun as you can.
