We're having severe thunderstorms. Some places getting large hail and damaging winds. Just watched a weather update, suspected tornados nearby.

:(

I spend the afternoon yesterday in the greenhouse, watching the hail hammer my trees. So far, this part of the world does not get tornados. Gratefull tor that, as these things scare me.

We are now in the 70's with nights no lower than the 50's, feels like spring but have been burned on that before.

Last night the full Moon and some cirrus clouds. Looked like the tree made a stroke though them,
then the stripes continued way back to the West beyond what I can capture on camera in the dark.
Later we had a huge halo around the moon which I got lazy and didn't even try to capture ahead of last nights foul weather.

Recent high near 80ºF and mid 20's for the low later this week, just as the fruit trees and my JM are leaving out.

Have seen a few scattered flurries winds strong off of the Great Lakes so lake effect snow flurries.
Radar green but no sprinkles. Dogwoods starting to open up as the Cherry blossoms fade.
Low in the low to mid 20's next 2 nights then a bit of a breather weatherize. Been a rain n wane end to March here
so potted up a a couple things, malus, JM, JWP and a juniper. JBP will have to get their attention another day
along with whatever junipers plead for fresh soil. I try not to pot my junis in March anymore.

Passed an inch of snow. Decided to move some maples out of the wind. Almost slipped flat on my face

Didn't you want a "real" winter, even if it's spring?;)

:)

Yes. Absolutely.
But real winters -used to- gradually ease into spring. This year, March 31, was one of those "Warmest march day on record". But you are right. This is the normal spring temps, 40, 50 during the day, around 32 during the night. If not for the warm spell putting nature in motion I would be perfectly fine with it :) Looks like the first spring in a looong time that will be on the cool side.

Used to, is right. The last couple of years we go straight from winter to summer, not much actual spring. And summer to winter, not much fall. I'm not mad at the warm temps though, woke up the landscape pretty quick.
