That’s nice Dave. I think it would “pop” better if you cleaned off the algae, cleaned and lime sulfured the deadwood, and cleaned and oiled the live bark.

Now, I’m just thinking out loud here, I’m wondering if it would look better with a mound of soil under the trunk? Maybe a little soil and some tall moss? It would be easy to experiment with some moss to get an idea.

One thing at a time, man! It needed the haircut first. I'm hoping to clean up the trunk and lime sulfur this week if it ever stops raining here...
