So I have this shimpaku that was in compacted soil, repotted late January (southern cal la area by coast) and had a pot laying around I used and yes I know it’s a bit big but hey…plant is growing again well lots of new green foliage and am considering options for styling it down the road. I have some long leggy branches on the left that are gonna have to go (Jins maybe?) and the right I can do a layer/lowering I think with four or five branches. Shari the trunk? Anyone see anything in this material? I cut two super long leggy branches off when I repotted.F5767E59-04D7-4B61-A2AE-A4BB84F41C45.jpeg698EB3CB-305A-4620-8969-07D7287BDBD6.jpeg50FAB708-993E-4DBD-90DC-685C9D256D6A.jpeg16D9A03B-F0AC-47C8-809D-FE4DD253442A.jpeg

Cool tree! Perhaps reduce that cluster of Jins to 1.
Then I’d recommend reducing the overall height of the tree, and chase foliage back towards the trunk to compact.
