Making this thread to share the progress and procedures that, i did / will do, on this juniper.
i will leave here the link to the imgur gallery

Bought this Shimpaku Kishu on November 03 2022 (late spring) at a famous bonsai grower here in Brazil, it was field grown specifically for bonsai and the staff told me that it was dug out from the field and potted on the winter of 2020, so it had 2 and a half years to recover.

Some pictures of the day i bought it, sorry for the bad quality, these are some prints from a video, im not good at remembering to take photos...

10 days later i had a juniper workshop that took this tree to work on, just did some branch selection, cleaned up the bark a little, made some dead wood and jins / sharis.
(i forgot again to took a photo before starting to work, but it was just a round bush anyway)

That same day when i got home from the workshop i decided to repot (against common sense and several advises, i know), the soil was not percolating and the field soil was a very thick and heavy red clay, so heavy that i could not move it by my self, so i took my chances and did a full bareroot repot, using the light pressure from my water hose to remove everything i could from the roots, also cut some thicker roots to fit on the new smaller pot.

Here is the soil it was in.

To pot it up i used a smaller plastic round container, that i drilled lots of holes and screened the bottom, my substrate mix is composed of 100% inorganic, 1 - 1 - 1, Perlite, DE and Crushed Bricks (this is the best i can get here in Brazil), Tied up the tree anchoring it really well on the pot and proceeded to chopstick the soil between the roots, topdressing after all was done with sphagnum moss.
