I bought this tree about 3 years ago and I kept making it shorter and shorter as I learned more, and have finally achieved an almost shohin. It is about 9" tall and has a 1.5" trunk with a large rotted section. I really love this little guy... It is planted in a very unique pot by North Eagle Pottery. Enjoy!

Thanks guys! Glad you all like it! It is going to be sad when I have to reduce the flowers to two or three per bunch (to redirect nutrients). I want to get a few more branches on it this season to start really working on ramification.

Winter Fruit

Here is the crabapple in its winter glory. I only left 4 apples on it after it had finished flowering, and now in its winter dress it looks a little bare...

They are a blast to work with and it looks really cool with the deadwood areas.

Update 2013

Here is my little crab today. No leaves and the apples are just starting to rot away.
