Short story, long. I received a pretty nice Japanese quince from @Stickroot over the xmas holiday. Before I go screwing that one up, I thought I'd try to work with a similar, but smaller JQ. So I recently picked up this little guy for about $7.00.

I've read/researched that they can take some abuse and I wanted to get an idea of how it responds to some aggressive work, so I chopped it down and reduced the rootball.

I repotted into a Sam Miller pot.

My goals for this project are/were:
1. Work a JQ aggressively to get an idea of how it responds to work and how it does in my climate
2. Find a good reason to use a newly acquired pot.
3. Have some fun

So far, I feel good about my project! Thoughts, fellow Nutters?

Remember their love of water. Especially when it's hot and they're growing hard. Hope u enjoy. Gotta love quince!!

Rural king rocks quince? Plants?

And I'm sitting here with a pair of coveralls tags still on?

Looks like the Xmas gifts just keep paying off this year!

Besides, I'll probly never need coveralls!

And now... don't touch it until next Spring after it blooms. Then strip any fruit and prune. I would wait for two years before I would touch the roots again.

Hell yeah!
I browsed the flyer yesterday.
AR-15's and Glocks too!

I'm getting my daughter a chick!

I Google mapped the one out by Mom and the Fall sign said Mums, pumkims and perennials, so I'm totally making an exchange!
