Will be stopping in a few unfamiliar places over the next month or so! I like to bring home the occasional Bonsai Pot from my travels. I believe that may be the real reason i take a second case that is not very full;). Does anyone have suggestions for potters or pot suppliers in or near Rotterdam, Brussels, Copenhagen, Lisbon.

I'm not familiar with all those places, but Bonsai Plaza is a good shop to see. Very close to Rotterdam. Did some online shopping this spring, nice people and good stuff. They have probably hundreds of japanese pots. But I think you knew this one before.

Thanks for the information. I was not thinking of this vendor, but now that you point it out i realize they advertise in the Bonsai Focus magazine all the time. With pots my focus is personal shopping and i have ignored online opportunities. I will check them out.

Bonsaiplaza, or maarten is a really cool guy and has a lot of knowledge of pots from Japan (last week he got a new shipment out of japan). Also close too Rotterdam there is Made bonsai pot, manon is creating really cool pots. https://www.madebonsaipots.com If you have time enough there is tennis jan klein. Deshima bonsai. http://www.deshimabonsai.nl/nl/home

And for brussels i would visite Danny Use, gingko bonsai center http://www.ginkgobonsai.be and https://bauwensbonsai.eu

Have fun.

His work does look incredible, but of the type we would use for decoration in the house. My wife would love to shop at his location for sure. Not so much for my tree's or garden though.
The edit is a great suggestion and will try that. Thank you

Thank you Ruben! I am very interested in European potters, the quality that i see and hear about appears to be excellent.
I will follow up on your suggestions.

I do love the traditional Chinese and Japanese pots, they are great and i have quite a few, but they seem to be easier and cheaper to obtain in Japan or here in North America. At least based on the prices i see online when one considers the exchange rate, shipping and taxes charged! The economy in Europe must be charging along for that kind of pricing to be the norm.

Yesterday i spoke Maarten, if you go it's better to make an appointment. He isn't always at home (workshops etc etc) Pots in his webshop are not the only pots he has. Last year he bought some Teizan pots (those are cool and nice priced). There aren't much Dutch potter that are making quality pots. Names that are hot: http://www.sperling-keramik.de and https://www.yamadori-shop.com/bonsai-shop-kategorie/kuenstlerschalen/

They are both german.
