I put my JBP seedlings into full sun in the 100 degree or hotter summer sun in zone 9b, and they loved it.

Fish like to live in water. Japanese black pines like to live in full sun.

9?
I put all my black pine transplants back onto the benches in full sun. Does not matter whether they are 1 year old or 30 years old.
