No taper whatsoever. Sorry

I think that is the best way to use them. I live on 8 acres with no fewer than 500 redbuds, probably more including seedlings. It is a remarkable thing to see come spring. I have a weeper and 2 different red leaved but not the red leaved weeper ... yet. I also have 2 different variegated ones and a gold one.Yes. Mine will likely end up a patio tree in a large pot.
Neighbor has a red weeping one in front her house.
Thank you, but I can't take credit for starting it. At a nursery in Santa Fe, NM this redbud was in a 5 gal container off to the side with a small collection of neglected but beautiful bonsai, owned by the nursery owner. It was obviously cut back hard and trained to be Bonsai years ago, and I picked it up and walked to the front to buy it. He asked for $50 bucks and I jumped all over it. Im still sad about this one. That is the best I have seen. You had a good start going there.
Has anyone else had flowering in fall?
Those don't always respond to training well either. They will give you all sorts of trouble and are stubborn but usually after 10-20 years they turn out pretty well!Oh and I just noticed my 1 year old sons leg under my bonsai benches!
He was just reaching something under there for you, wasnt he?Oh and I just noticed my 1 year old sons leg under my bonsai benches!
