American Larch that I acquired this week.

My plan is to wire all the branches down to enhance the feeling of age in the branches to match the ancient trunk. Possibly shorten the tree, compact the apex.

I want to carve more deadwood on the outside left hand bend and narrow the inverse taper there.

I also wanna find a better pot. Not sure what style. A slightly smaller oval, maybe. Possibly glazed in such a way that it almost looks unglazed. See the attached Jack Hoover pot as an example of glaze I’d like.

I have a yellow pot for the fall color. :)
