Sorce,
Is it a woody stemmed plant?
Bears a resemblance to the
immature growth of
Hydrophyllum-tenuipes
Pacific Water leaf. But . . . .
if it is woody let me roll it
in my head for a few.

It is woody.....
I see them growing by my river a lot.

Never seen it more than a foot or 2.

This one is from a lawn...
It looks second yearish, only the low part is woody.

Lol.....woody!
Heard a woodpecker in the cottonwood by the baseball park yesterday!

That would be sweet....but with the spikey furs on the leaf?

If this is the same plant Im used to seeing, the leaves never get much bigger than this half inch.
That's why I want it to work....

So far so good...wilted yesterday and came back up with water.

Source,
This is some member of the Ribes genus. Whether it is currant, black or red,
or gooseberry I can't tell you more until flowering and fruiting occur.
Sorry I haven't gotten back with you before now but I became distracted with
something else about the time you asked about this.
