I got this juniper in May of 2014 it was taken from the ground styled and repotted. It grew good and this summer it went from living on the coast to the valley. Which was much hotter and dryer, but I watered it on a regular basis and kept my liquid fertilizer routine. About a month ago once the heat went away I noticed it started losing it's bright green and now it's here. I moved it under the eve to give it a break from the rain. I have another one grown the same way same ago from the same guy and it is in a similar condition. The tips are black almost like mold. I am afraid it's beyond help as I have killed junipers before.
