Silverberry

I have a silverberry nursery stock and noticed new leaf coming out..Just wondering if it’s really normal silver color leaf coming out from this tree? Also I noticed that when you try to scratch the silver dots underneath is green color...

I’ve seen loads of eleagnus like that. I think it’s perfectly normal.

Oh forgot to add, in the stage the buds turn into leaves they are even more strange they look brownish then, the first time I Tought they dried out but that also seems to be normal

That is indeed one of the great features of silverberry.

those white dots, clusters of fine hairs, they look Silver = hence the term "Silverberry"
the fruit even has silvery white dots and brown dots over a tomato orange-red color.
