Wow, that-s a nice combo. It was during an exhibition or you use always grow moss on your tree ?
Yes, the moss is just on it for a show. This one gets some yellow colour over winter too, most of my Scots pines do.

from the picture is not clear but the plant comes versus the observer and I will put on the same angle.

The front to back looks good but I would recommend to test a slight lean to the left when viewing the tree from the front.

I just realised one thing the current pot is fairly deep, and I get the impression the tokoname is more shallow if this is the case make sure to have a deeper back up pot.

Yes sadly you have right, the original pot is 28x9 cm and is handmade plus the PO of the plant want it back ( in any case I don't like it so much) , the rectangular one is too shallow, 6cm so I am looking for another pot.
Probably bigger because I can't find any round pot with 9cm depth inside.
I am quite desperate because I can't find any pot here in germany and around

Some people say that with a round pot the apex should cross the edge of the pot. The challenge with a new tree is that you don’t know the limitations of the rootsystem. So it is best to have more than one pot at hand but that can become expensive (I collect pot and spent more on pot than trees over the last two years. If the original pot is intact you can always put it back. I you run out of all options put the tree in a wet towel and build a wooden box. However you still might be lucky and only have to remove two layers of matted roots and drainage screen.

If its healthy it's just phenotype. Like all living things, there are no 2 with identical DNA unless born/grown from the same single cell. Since seeds aren't single cells, the make up of every plant will have differences based on time of year, lunar cycle, weather, geographical location and so on. Some plants turn purple in cold weather, like poinsettias goes red in the winter.

just in case - Phenotype is observable characteristics resulting from the interaction of its genotype (genetic composition) with the environment.

It just looks like that little bud/shoot didn't make it. Shame because it's further up the branch and you could have used it to cut back to eventually.

I don't think that little thing would make a decent Jin. I would cut it off and hope that the tree might give you another bud there some day.

Mhhh probably yes is too thin.
I can use the right part of the remaining branch to come and cover the area in the next future.
But I can see the the buds inside the remaining part are not so strong.....

Ok ..... did not think you meant the whole branch. Just thought it was the small brown shoot. The end of the branch looked OK from the pics?

If the whole branch, it would be fine to Jin it

Oh maybe my poor english is not helping here. I want keep the branch alive as much is possible. I was thinking about the jin only with the small dead part but as you said probably is too thin.
To keep the green a little bit larger I am thinking to move the front part of the branch a little bit forward and wait for the new grow, just a couple of cm

Ok yes you can move the circled part gently to the right away from the other branch. Just don't do an extreme bend now because it is summer and moving a branch win summer can cause problems
