I have a slash pine seedling that's about 7" tall and very bushy right now. It's between 18 and 24 months old, found it growing among some driveway rocks when it was barely 2" tall. I have been keeping it in a propagation bin with a couple of different ficus cuttings and such, but wondering when I should repot it or would it be best to put it in the ground for a while? Wondering if anyone has had a try at making bonsai out of this particular species. I find seedlings for this kind of pine growing even in my existing bonsai, so I have opportunity to grow more. (I also get a lot of live oak seedlings growing in my bonsai, lol, thanks to the squirrels). Zone 10b. Advice welcome.

No personal experience with these but try a site search for them and several should come up. Might help a bit.;)
