Here are a couple of my slash pines I collected a lil over a year ago. wondering what I could do to improve them.
I don't want to put wire on main trunk because the bark is delicate and can fall off. I would like more movement in the curved one
but not sure about that.

I've got a much bigger slash pine in training as a garden tree but i've not found a way to manage the needle length yet

I’ve got this massive densa slash pine. Started as 15gal nursery tree
Had it for two years put in a smaller container after giving the chop.
Densas seem to have a ton of backbuds.
Any ideas? I feel like the main trunk is still too tall. I chop in fall after temperatures drop a bit.

I’ve got a slightly smaller yamadori slash pine that needs styling as well. Trunk is have the size but going for slant style

I know it’s cheating, but you can always prune needles!!
