Had to show off a recent pickup. A small juko round. I had originally gotten it thinking the colors would really play well with a tropical I have but after getting the rosemary, I think i might need too see it in bloom before deciding. The nice blue on green from the rosemary might match real nice aswell.

Extra fun for those who care:
Juko, real name Kuniaki Aiba, was born in 1973, and is the son of one of Japan's most famous potters; Koyo (Koichiro Aiba).

He recently took over from his father as head of the Koyo kiln in Tokoname, after studying at Shizuoka University. He is now in his own right a very popular potter with classic and more varied forms and stunning glazes. His father taught him well!

Extra fun for those who care:

if you want even more fun information, the first image is what Juko himself told about 'blue oribe' when i inquired in july 2018

since then, a VERY high number of pots in the same shape have been produce in blue oribe. a nice size for testing! (other shapes also appearing, but nothing too big or labor intensive i was told

I wish I could buy them all!

(last two pics are nelson's, pic before that is @Petebak 's. the rest as obviously from yukimono)
