Hey guys. I guess I am still "new" for sure...Only been into Bonsai for about 18 months now. I need some help with a ficus I have, so not sure if I should post there here under "new" or maybe under tropical.
Anyway... I have a ficus which I was my 2nd bonsai last year ( my first was a Fukein Tea, still have that and actually did a root over rock on it which I know most people say a FT is hard to take care of, but even this being a root over rock, it's doing really well. Actually growing new leave right now inside if you can believe that ) anyway... this ficus I thought was pretty much dead about November. But I put it in an aquarium over the winter, have clear wrap ( I read Redwood Ryans posts and how he does it and followed his ideas over the past year)... I spray it and give it 16hrs of 6500k light, plus with 86% humidity in the winter aquarium. it's actually coming back. I should mention when it died off last summer I scratched the trunk and ended up "trunk chopping" it in Nov. Now it is growing back, but all the new shoots are coming out of the same spots basically. Suck as 4 new shoots out of the same spot on the trunck.
So I'd like some advice on what to do with it. Should I post here or in the tropics form for the best advice?
