Some inspiration from Yosemite

Hello everyone,

Was hiking Sentinel Dome and Taft Point this past weekend and thought I'd share some of the trees I found interesting. The dead, gnarled pine is the Jeffrey Pine, or what remains of it, that Ansel Adams famously photographed years ago, maybe the 40's. Thanks for looking!

They endue a lot and it always amazes me how they thrive...even with the tourists that mess with them from time to time.

Funny, I have a juni that looks almost exactly like the one in the second photo. The trunk is a bit shorter but I always thought it didn't look like something you would find in nature because of the dead limb on one side. Just goes to show you..
