For Father's day, I decided that I wanted to travel to the coast. One of my pupils at the shohin convention had a tree that did not open. He had contacted me and wanted to buy any tree that I may have had left over.

I told him I had lots of tridents and that I would give him a repalcement. He was very happy. probelm was he lived in LA. We decided that since he was on vacation that week, and that I could come to the coast for a day, we could see each other again and he could get his tree and I could go to George Muranaka's and look for a couple pines.

We met up and took care of the trident and I went on my way. Drove on down to Muranaka's and found a couple pines to bring home.

Just as I was leaving Muranaka's, Dave, whom I had just left three hours earlier, drove in and parked. Seems George was busy all morning:cool:

This is the backside of the fatter one. This tree will be chopped above that branch mass for a semi cascade shohin blackpine.
