Hello to all,

I had the chance to visit Japan.
I would like to share with you some pictures of this trip or rather of these trips.

There is a bit of everything, visit of parks, nurseries, master garden or simply "touristic" pictures.

I will update this topic from time to time if you like these pictures.
If you don't like them, I'll keep them in the box. 🙂

I wish you a good visit and an excellent day

Michel

Yes! I guess they still do load one at a time.. but you can select 10 pictures and it will load them in succession.

Thank you for pictures and small education. Some very nice scenes. A couple very nice Bonsai amongst traditionals. For some hereabout obsessed with trunk "taper", keeping moss off substrate notice several trunks have little to no taper. Notice moss on substrate also☺️. Even big lower branches on some. Oh such horrible proportions again from certain know it alls😫. In Japan even. So good to see ignorance exposed.

Beautiful pictures. Everything looks so effortlessly balanced, the stones, the water, the moss, the trees. Thanks for sharing!

A question tho, some bonsai are placed on top of a surface which sits inside a water tray: is it to avoid crawlers (ants and such) to get on the trees? I mean, sometimes it's for aestethic purposes, like in ishizuki, but here looks more of a practical thing.
