My nemeses…. This one’s been causing all kinds of damage to my trees. Another one for deportation 😂View attachment 443997
I've got one or more that's been digging in the moss on one of my hinoki
but nothing moved or broken yet that I'm aware of. So far the grill has been
my biggest problem since replacing my deck. I used to have it cabled down
so it wouldn't blow across the porch...

I have a small back yard nursery and they dig up seedlings and eat the tap roots off. This one has costed me 10 chestnut and a few hickory yearlings. I’ve been trying to catch him for a week😂

We could trap 10 a day and it wouldn't make a dent in the population.

I’ve been hitting them hard this year I know im over 24. I only run the traps in my nursery area baited with peanuts. It seems to be a good system to catch the ones actually doing the damage.

These suckers ate my oaks (one of which I was extremely excited about) and dug in my pines. I now have some wire panel I use for chickens over the pots and have bent it down to keep it secure. It seems they have not messed with them yet. If they do it may be time to bbq some squirrel

The time has come, woke up today with 4 bougies knocked over, a huge bite out of my JM and my pine dug in. Game on now

Check out havahart traps. They were the best I have used. Hand cable set without having to mess with a pressure plate and rod.
