Spider Mites - Caught Red Handed

Year after year my deciduous trees seem to always have issues. If it's not one thing it's another. Chlorosis due to hard & alkaline water, vine weevils, aphids, sun scorch... One thing is constant - something always seems to be munching on them.

After much trial and tribulation I finally caught what I believe to be a(nother) major culprit... The spider mite.

Caught red handed.

Currently plotting appropriate counter-attack measures, but one thing is for certain - no mercy.

I will update later with more photos of the specific damage in hopes it may help others identify these guys - but note that upon close inspection, webs on the underside of the leaves are present in addition to adults and eggs.

Sorry to see that after all the work you are doing to get your trees healthy,

…I hate to say this, yet if I take a close look at this critter it seems to be winking! Or …maybe too much sampling during after watering Wine time.
