Today I got four one gallon spiraea plants and I cut them back and repotted them. I ended up with eight new trees! These little trees all have pretty decent starter nebari but it is all covered right now to allow them to recover. I cut them pretty hard back but im confident they will be fine. I tried a few with ROR style so we will see in a few years. Here are the pictures: any info will be appreciated. I will admit I gave never tried this species other than I have one in my garden area and it is very drought tolerant. It is a bridal spiraea but they should be close hopefully the tag said it was hardy to -20 to -30 °F. Ok pictures!
